Seasons greetings to all you wonderful people out there. We have one final update for the year that we're excited to share with you. We pulled together and worked really, really hard to pack as much into this one as possible. There is a clear and present "Winter" theme here, but that's not the only surprise under the tree. There's a LOT of new stuff to go over here, but I'm going to run down the list rapid-fire with as many screenshots as I can muster to get you through to the end in one piece. Now, without further ado, let's get this holiday party started!
Every Single Mecha Is Available Now

Yes, you read that correctly. In one fell-swoop our meganificent MegaBossMan has completed our mecha database. What a wonderful day to have Friend Share and Copy Style.

- All support mechas have skills now (!!!)
- All support mechas have weaknesses/stats now
- All support mechas have classes now (and flavour text?!)
- All support mechas have abilities assigned now
- Thus all support mechas are summonable and encounterable now

Some of these mechas have incredibly fun and creative skills, and IMO they also have incredible awesome sprites. I hope you'll check them all out and enjoy befriending them (or scrapping 'em, I wont judge)! If you're having a hard time finding them, just remember to check your Chapter 2 missions of each campaign. Unfamiliar visitor mecha tend to show up in the back row of those missions once you've completed them at least once.
New Alts, Familiar Faces

Rhythm has given us another round of alts to spend our hard-earned zenny on, this time based on some interesting themes.

New external-media alts for some dubious bots:
- Ice Man has received a Dubious Alt based on someone with the same name ice-man_alt4
- Aqua Man has received a Dubious Alt based on someone with the same name aqua-man_alt4

New legacy-media alts for a paradox bots:
- Oil Man has a DOS Alt based on someone with the same name oil-man_alt4
- Blade Man has DOS Alt based on someone with the same name blade-man_alt4
- Torch Man has a DOS Alt based on someone with the same name torch-man_alt4
- Wave Man has a DOS Alt based on someone with the same name wave-man_alt4

New Series of "Legacy Collection" Challenges

Multiple new "Legacy Collection" challenge missions have been added created to celebrate the MMRPG finally completing all six classic games' robot masters and making them fully playable. Each of these missions allows only a single robot versus a team of eight, making them some of the most restrictive challenges we've created thus far. Who will you take into battle? Tried and true, classic blue? Or perhaps a different hue?

- Legacy Collection: Powered Up
- Legacy Collection 2: The Mystery of Dr. Wily
- Legacy Collection 3: The End of Dr. Wily!?
- Legacy Collection 4: A New Evil Ambition!! (have Cossack leading it)
- Legacy Collection 5: Proto Man’s Trap!?
- Legacy Collection 6: The Greatest Battle of All Time!!
What's Old Is New Again - Ability Updates

A few abilities have had some minor (or major) tweaks to how they work.

- Magnet Missile buff (steals item from target on disable)
- Hornet Chaser buff (steals consumables immediately)

- Dive Torpedo buff (x2 damage on water field and/or water core)
- Storm Bolt icon refresh (plus QoL tweak for bulk-disabling)
- Scramble Thunder icon refresh (plus QoL tweak for bulk-disabling)
- Ice Breath icon refresh and attachment sprite tweak
Recycling the Recyclers - Skill Updates for Dust Man and Junk Man

Dust Man's previous skill has been replaced with a new one, and Junk Man has received the same skill but in a different flavour. The Inventory Submodule allows the user to pull/find/generate a consumable item at the end of any turn that an ally is in need. Despite their similarities, the nuance between the different versions of this skill allow the robots to fill vastly different niches.

Dust Man's Passive Skill: Duct Cleaning
The robot's head-mounted exhaust pipe is constantly getting clogged with stat-boosting pellets and capsules, forcing the robot to offload extras on its allies whenever they seem down on their luck.

Junk Man's Passive Skill: Trash Therapy
The robot's garbage-taste allows it to see what others don't see on the battlefield, and to salvage even junk into restorative pellets and capsules. The robot likes to test these items out on wounded teammates.

There's one more robot master to inherit this skill, but we'll get to him a bit later.
New Robot - Centaur Man Flashes the Competition

The half-man, half-horse, half-robot Centaur Man gallops into battle with his mighty arrow and unrivalled mastery over space-time. Beware of his ability to disable not only items, but passive skills on any targets he sees fit.

Centaur Man's Passive Skill: Transpatial
Allows the robot to equip and use Space-type abilities as if they were a Space-core.

Centaur Arrow: The user aims one of its celestial arrows at the target and fires off with incredible precision, dealing preordained damage and causing them to drop any held items in their possession. Items dropped this way will not be found until the end of the next turn.

Centaur Flash: The user taps into an arcane power within themselves and releases it as a flash of brilliant light across the battlefield. The energy released by the flash disrupts the natural flow of time for all who bear witness to it, whisking them back to an era when passive skills were not invented yet.

New Robot - Tornado Man Blows Up

Tornado Man storms into the Prototype with a new ability that took me ages to program but was worth every hour and every tear. This blustery boy is able to clear the entire field of hazards with one move, and I do mean the entire field.

Tornado Man's Passive Skill : Ventus Airus
The robot increases the Wind-type field multiplier upon entering battle utilizing their weather-manipulating capabilities.

Tornado Blow: The user summons a powerful storm of tornados that clear the battlefield of all hazards and protective barriers before rising once again to damage target robots on the opponent's side!

New Robot - Shade Man Swoops Into Play

Shade Man has been added as a new playable character to the MMRPG with an original skill and two new abilities.

Shade Man's Passive Skill: Vampiric Vice
The robot steals a bit of weapon energy from the target whenever they successfully deal damage using an ability.

Noise Crush: The user generates a powerful sound wave that races toward the target to deal damage! If this attack happens to miss, it will bounce back and hit the target anyway at twice its usual power!

Vamp Crush: The user flies over to the target and crushes the life force out of them with powerful teeth or claws. This ability always cuts the target's remaining health in half and cannot be used to disable them, but it returns any drained energy to the user in-full making it a great healing tool.

New Robot - Plug Man Charges Up

Plug Man can now finally be used in battle, something I'm sure Napalm Man will appreciate greatly. Our resident charging station comes equipped with a handy skill and an even handier ability.

Plug Man's Passive Skill: Charging Station
The robot fully restores depleted weapon energies at the end of each turn so long as it remains on the bench.

Plug Ball: The user releases a ball of charged plasma at the target that inflicts damage and disables their passive skill for the next three turns of the battle!

New Robot - Commando Man Starts Blasting

Commando Man is on the job, ready to assist or destroy at a moment's notice. This military machine doesn't like explosives on his side of the field, but that doesn't stop him from throwing a few over to the other side when the mission calls for it.

Commando Man's Passive Skill: Demining Specialist
The robot employs expert knowledge of munitions to disarm any nearby explosives at the end of each turn.

Commando Bomb: The user fires a missile at the target that explodes on contact to deal damage. However, if this ability is used on a benched robot, it launches into a large shockwave that strikes adjacent foes for almost double the ability power!
Dark Chips, Dark Frags, Dark Abilities

It can't be a coincidence that Shade Man appears in the very same update as a Dark Chip mechanic, right? Regardless, it's important to note that all three of the "Dark" abilities have had their effects revised to be more menacing going forward. Dark Boost, Dark Break, and Dark Drain remain the only Empty-type abilities in the game, though I still wouldn't suggest trying to unlock them though as the side effects are pretty severe.

Now, let's heat up this holiday party by getting to cold stuff!

New Skill - Freeze Man Tells It Like It Is

Freeze Man just wants Ice Man to like him. It's that simple. Maybe this new skill can help?

Freeze Man's Passive Skill: Hot Take
The robot decreases the Flame-type field multiplier upon entering battle by sucking all the hot air out of the room.

New Robot - Crack One Open for Cold Man

That's right, Cold Man finally slides into the Prototype as a playable character right in time for the holidays! And he doesn't arrive empty-handed either, with his new skill and his legendary Ice Wall ability he's ready to hit the ice running.

Cold Man's Passive Skill: Frozen Canteen
The robot keeps its fridge-like body fully-stocked with weapon and energy tanks, heroically cracking one open at the end of the turn for a friend-in-need.

Ice Wall: The user raises a wall of solid ice to bolster shields and reduce incoming damage by up to half! Once raised, the ice wall can be pushed forward to collide with the target! This ability starts up quickly, but is slower on the attack.

New Robot - You Just Got A Chill Man

Chill Man's Passive Skill : Polar Prestige
The robot's expertise in cryogenic technology reduces the cost of its team's Freeze-type abilities to only one unit.

Chill Spike: The user fires a glob of freezing gel at the target that instantly chills into jagged ice below their feet! The frozen spikes deal damage at the end of each turn for up to twelve turns!

New Robot - Tundra Man Spins Up A Storm

And for our final act, we introduce Tundra Man as the final Winter-themed robot of our Holiday update and the final [Freeze]{type}-type robot in our robot database proper! Tundra skates in with not one but two incredible new abilities that are sure to carve out a new meta. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Tundra Man's Passive Skill : Frozen Cavalier
The robot automatically copies positive stat changes on the opponent at the end of each turn.

Tundra Spin: The user glides toward the target at high speed with ice underfoot, colliding with them on impact to deal moderate damage and then spinning around for a second hit! This ability always loops back at least once, but if the Freeze-type field multiplier is high enough, it'll inspire the user to continue spinning out additional damage.

Tundra Storm: The user blasts the target with a pillar of frigid wind, covering them in ice that instantly shatters to deal massive damage! If the user's attack stat has been maxed out, the storm will rage on to strike benched robots as well.

----

Alright, that's it for this post and likely for the rest of 2023. Please enjoy, let us know what you think of this year's festivities, and have a wonderful holiday + new year. These last several months updating the MMRPG have been some of the most amazing experiences of my life. Thank you all so much for helping me and all of us get this far.

And as always, thanks for playing!

This have to do with this, but I HATE the new Player Battles changes. In the past, I only uses Bass since he's the only robot for my Dr. Wily's team, which also means I fight only one robot of each player, now it's gone & I hate it now.

@ch4s3man :
Player battles were changed to specifically stop you from just grinding them all out with a single robot, now they are meant to be working your way against essentially player designed challenges, rather than just clicking one move and winning every fight

If these updates were a family dinner I would have already vomited from over-consumption. Blessings to the dev team for all the great work you do.
